Hello Fall!

Well, where did the summer go and how are we already halfway through October? Needless to say, my summer was a productive summer with lots of landscape photography adventures. I started the summer with a wedding and ended it with a quick weekend trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. From a small business standpoint, I definitely had some major highlights.

YouTube

My YouTube Channel has steadily increased to 141 subscribers, with 41 of those subscribers coming in the last 36 days! My HP U28 4k monitor video is still stealing the show and has received over 14k views since it was published on April 1st. But when it comes to actual photography, my two videos on the 50 mm prime lens are doing exceptionally well!

I first took on the challenge of only using a 50 mm prime lens back in April when I kept things local and forced myself to just use the nifty fifty. It was a lot of fun to flex my creative mind and that video to date has 2.3k views! I revisited the challenge in early September at my favorite local waterfall, which was a lot of fun because normally I am shooting at a wider angle, like 24 mm. So, it definitely forced me to move around to get the shots and find new vantage points. The 50 mm Lens Challenge video has received 461 views as of today.

I love that the 50 mm lens seems to be so popular among photographers. I bought the lens several years ago because it is so affordable, yet also very sharp. I am on a mission to find the right scene to stitch the photos in a grid pattern instead of just a panoramic. So stay tuned...

Photography

A couple weekends ago, I was able to photograph a local Member-Guest golf tournament that was so much fun. As a golfer myself, I enjoyed getting to ride around and capturing moments that can be cherished for years to come. Hopefully, I will be able to do more golf tournaments in the future as it combines two things I love, landscape photography and golf!

Upcoming Holidays!

I still cannot believe we are just a couple months away from the holidays! Right now, I offer select photographs as fine art prints, which are printed on an archival satin luster paper using archival inks. They are a great way to bring the outdoors inside. I will be looking at offering some different photography related items in my online store, so stay tuned for more details. If you see a photo on my website that you would love as a print, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly! I am happy to work up a custom print.

Have a fantastic rest of your day!
